New HOA-approved Coretec Luxury vinyl has been installed in all but the bedrooms where we added new neutral carpeting.

The Unique Doors

The floor-to-ceiling hardwood doors with period hardware are rare and stunning hallmarks of mid-century modern design.

Laundry and Storage Locker

One of the most coveted pluses of this unit is that the building’s laundry room is on our (2nd) floor! While residents above and below have to use the elevator to access it, we’ve been known to scamper down the hall in bathrobe and bunny slippers!

The washers cost $1.25; the dryers $.50. Sound too good to be true? It’s for real. Cards are easily purchased and re-loaded.

Our secure storage unit (right in the laundry room) is 4 X 8 X 8 (including built-in shelving) and holds way more than we could have ever imagined.

Garage

Garage #67 is just steps from our building’s side door. We have a built-in 4X4X8 “cowboy storage locker” which is on stilts to accommodate the hood of our mini-van while containing lots of miscellaneous items typically stored in a garage. The automatic garage door also has a new keypad entry.

Guest Parking

There are many surface lots throughout Windsor Gardens. Street parking is also an option and always readily available near our building.

Safety and Security

We have felt totally safe here from the start. The 24/7 Community Response Unit, including ongoing patrol, is a phone call away for medical emergencies, safety concerns and a variety of resident issues. These competent officers are ready for all situations but are mainly appreciated for their kindness and concern.

There is a full fire station 3 blocks from Windsor Gardens and Kaiser’s East Clinic is only 6 blocks away.

What Does It Cost To Live In This Unit?

The HOA monthly dues are $666 — and that includes property taxes! Seriously.

Heat, water, sewer and all grounds maintenance are included. The only expenses NOT covered are electric and internet. Depending on your preference, cable may not be necessary as there’s an antenna hookup in the unit for access to all free local digital channels.

Our utilities for 2023/2024 average $29.19/month.

Gardens and Grounds

The Windsor Gardens campus is painstakingly cared for. Fair weather plantings and foul weather snow clearance are dependable and remarkable. The grounds crew are both masters and magicians!

Best of all, there are 79 individual plots — each with its own water source — available for residents to reserve! Even though Windsor Gardens has a weekly seasonal farmers’ market in its main parking lot, you may prefer your own farm-to-table pickings!
